Valentine’s Screenings
Find the perfect date night screening this February
A sweet treat in time for Valentine’s Day
Our February collaboration with TEDxBRISTOL presents a sweet treat in time for Valentine’s Day. We’re joined by Carlos Ayala, a local chocolatier, and will be screening the whimsical French romance Chocolat.
In space, no-one can hear you clean
This Valentine’s Day, we’re presenting another screening of the perennial Festival favourite WALL•E. This delightful sci-fi misadventure is both an epic voyage into humanity’s future, and a nod to silent comedy cinema. It’s perfect for a date night, or for the entire family.
“If I be waspish, best beware my sting…”
Just in time for Valentine’s weekend date night, we’re pleased to present a screening of the cult romcom 10 Things I Hate About You. Julia Stiles and the late, great Heath Ledger are great fun as the odd couple in this high school spin on The Taming of The Shrew - so we’ll be pairing the film with wines from locations in Shakespeare plays…!
Shakespeare’s greatest love story, stunningly reimagined for modern times
Due to demand, we’re bringing the tale of star-crossed lovers back this February! The Mount Without, one of Bristol’s newest and most unique event spaces, will play host to an evening of Baz Luhrmann’s high-octane, contemporary take on Romeo + Juliet, a film with an appropriately fitting aesthetic for this wonderful former church.
Back on the big screen: the genre-bending postmodern comedy smash hit
We’re pleased to present a screening of 2024’s Oscar-winning smash hit Poor Things. Emma Stone deservedly took home her second Oscar for her performance as the recently resurrected Bella Baxter in this adaptation of Alasdair Gray’s cult novel. Its part steampunk, part gothic fairytale aesthetic is a great match for The Mount Without’s stunning environ!
An exclusive invitation to a celebration of all things Japanese at Lexus Bristol
