Our Screening Room selection for April is the screwball comedy celebrating its 70th birthday in 2023, How To Marry A Millionaire. The romcom reimagining of Shakespeare’s life won seven Oscars, and cleverly blends several Shakespearean storylines into a merry misadventure through Elizabethan London.

We’re at the Observatory on St. George’s Day this year for films inspired by great English writers; naturally, we couldn’t leave out an adaptation of the UK’s second-favourite novel so we’re screening the acclaimed 2005 version of Pride And Prejudice, starring an Oscar-nominated Kiera Knightley as Elizabeth Bennet.
