We’re back at Redcliffe Caves for a weekend of subterranean screenings in the Underground Cinema!

Bristol Film Festival's Underground Cinema is an unforgettable way to discover, or rediscover, some of the silver screen’s hidden gems, pop culture milestones and genre highlights. Delve deep into one of the most unique locations in Bristol, and forget about the outside world for a couple of hours. Whether you’re settling down for a favourite fantasy film or a cult classic, it’s sure to be one of the year’s most memorable movie viewing experiences.

This year’s programme launches with a 25th anniversary screening of The Mummy! Brendan Fraser leads a stellar cast in this delightfully dark blockbuster that deftly blends swashbuckling action-adventure with skin-crawling comedy-horror - stick to the lit path as you enter the Caves, and mind the scarab beetles…

Please note: Redcliffe Caves is a unique event space - we strongly recommend all guests read the ‘Venue & Event Information’ tab at this bottom of this page prior to booking.

About The Location

Redcliffe Caves are one of the most fascinating locations in Bristol. Originally created to mine sandstone glass in the 17th Century, these caves (technically a quarry!) have a rich and varied history, having been used by hermits, prisoners of war, and even as an air raid shelter. Now, they are accessed through a gate on the Harbourside, and are usually closed to the public.
