“Those who know McDonagh’s work know a vein of darkness will run deeply through the comedy. It has seldom been darker. Or funnier. He has made a hit-man movie in which you don’t know what will happen and can’t wait to find out”
DOORS: 18:30 | FILM STARTS 19:00
We’re partnering with our friends at Wiper and True throughout 2025 for a series of cult comedy screenings. Head to this award-winning local brewery’s taproom in Old Market and enjoy a free welcome pint from their draught range upon arrival, including delicious alcohol-free versions of their famous Kaleidoscope pale ale and Tomorrow lager. The taproom is open after the film ends.
Our March screening is the day after St Patrick’s Day, so naturally we’re showing a film set in Belgium…! It’s the perfect pairing of deliciously dark comedy and gorgeous local beer at this screening of In Bruges, Martin McDonagh’s acclaimed debut feature film starring Colin Farrell and Brendon Gleeson as a pair of hapless hitmen laying low in the picturesque town, enjoying/enduring the sights and sampling a beer or two…
NB: this screening will be subtitled
Please note that this event is strictly for over-18s only
