INTERSTELLAR at The Planetarium
Back by demand: Christopher Nolan’s Oscar-winning space odyssey
Due to demand, we’re bringing another screening of Interstellar to the Planetarium this Valentine’s Day. A film this epic was made for the big screen, and this screening includes some of the most breathtaking scenes restored to their IMAX ratios for an extra-detailed viewing.

THE TALENTED MR RIPLEY at Averys Wine Cellars
Sun, sea and sinister goings-on abound in this stylish thriller
As the weather (hopefully!) warms up towards the end of May, celebrating the 25th anniversary of a sun-soaked but chilling contemporary classic. Anthony Minghella’s star-studded, Oscar-nominated adaptation of Patricia Highsmith’s 1955 novel sees Matt Damon transform into the sociopathic conman Tom Ripley - and given the film’s glorious Italian setting, we’ll be pairing it with wines from across this fantastic country.

MAGNOLIA: Epics @ Everyman
This tragicomic ensemble character study is operatic in scope and scale
Our second collaboration with Everyman Bristol is a 25th anniversary screening of Magnolia, which truly embodies “epic” in its rich mosaic of weird and wonderful characters played to perfection by an ensemble cast from Tom Cruise and Philip Seymour Hoffmann to Juliane Moore and William H. Macy. Directed by Paul Thomas Anderson (There Will Be Blood, The Master), this haunting anthology that will linger long in the memory.

Our Vintage Screenings continue celebrating classic films turning 70 this year with the acclaimed romantic comedy Roman Holiday. With her portrayal of a princess embarking on an incognito sightseeing trip of Rome, Audrey Hepburn became the first actress to win an Oscar, BAFTA and Golden Globe for a single performance. Naturally, we’ll be pairing it with Italian wines fit for royalty!

An anniversary screening to commemorate the remarkable true story
On the 80th anniversary of Operation Chastise, the RAF’s legendary and audacious mission to bomb the Ruhr Valley dams, we’re thrilled to present The Dam Busters underneath the wings of Concorde Alpha Foxtrot. Explore the iconic plane pre-film, and learn more about Bristol’s key role in WWII aviation history before enjoying a beautiful restoration of this icon of British cinema.
